Latest Updated 21/02/2025: The Chairman of Bihar Board has made a big announcement regarding the third competency examination. He informed that applications for the third will be accepted from February 22. Applications will be accepted till March 12. The third competency examination is likely to be held in May. Anand Kishore said that the centers will be decided after the application. Only after this the date of the examination will be announced.
He informed that the examination will be conducted for 61 subjects from 1st to 12th. The examination will be for 1st to 5th, 6th to 8th, 9th to 10th and 11th to 12th. The minimum passing percentage of the examination will be determined by the General Administration Department for different categories. Those teacher candidates will be included in the competency third who could not appear in the first and second competency examination due to some reason or failed. Those teacher candidates who applied for the second examination, deposited the fee but could not appear in the examination, such teacher candidates can apply.

They will not have to pay a separate fee again. The examination will be organized through CBT mode i.e.; Computer Based Test. The duration of the examination will be two & a half hours. All questions will be multiple choice. There will be no provision for the negative marking. Regarding the conduct of BTET and STET, he said that no decision has been taken so far.
Labor Resources Department will provide free preparation
The Labor Resources Department will prepare the candidates who have passed the BPSC 70th Combined Competitive Examination for the main examination. On the instructions of Secretary of Labor Resources Department Deepak Anand, preparation for the main examination will be done in the Career Information Center of the Lower Regional Employment Office on the sixth floor of the Employment Building. The Assistant Director (Employment) of the Lower Regional Employment Office has told the candidates who have passed the preliminary examination that if they want to prepare for the main examination here, they can register by contacting mobile number 8825274020 by 23 February.
