Live Updates in hindi: 7279 special teachers will be recruited in the primary schools of bihar
Latest Updated On 21/05/2025: 7279 special teachers will be appointed soon in the primary schools of the state. Among these, there are 5534 posts of special school teachers for class 1 to 5. There are a total of 1745 vacant posts for class 6 to 8. The Education Department has sent the guidelines to Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) regarding the appointment. The Education Department has requested BPSC to issue an advertisement for recruitment soon.

The appointment of special school teachers will be done on the lines of the appointment of school teachers in schools recently by BPSC. BPSC had sought opinion from the Education Department on several points. In this light, the Education Department has sent a point-wise opinion to BPSC. The Education Department has said that the candidates interested for the post of special school teacher will get a relaxation of 10 years in the maximum age limit. It should be noted that this is the first transaction of appointment of special school teacher under primary education.

5534 posts for class 1 to 5 and 1745 posts for class 6 to 8
The Education Department has asked BPSC to take action for appointment to the posts of Special School Teachers Class 1-5 and Class 6-8 in accordance with the advertisement published by BPSC in 2024 for appointment to the posts of School Teacher Class 1 to 5 and Class 6 to 8. Only passing the Bihar Special School Teacher Eligibility Test-2023 will be valid for special school teachers.
It will be compulsory to provide the valid CRR number
While applying for appointment, it will be mandatory for the candidates to provide valid CRR number and related certificate from Indian Rehabilitation Council. Eligible candidates interested in Special School Teacher Recruitment Examination can apply for the post of Special School Teacher in more than one disability category out of the 9 categories of disability. There is a shortage of special teachers in the primary schools of the state.
Due to this, the special children of various categories including mute and deaf who come here to study are not able to study.
