Latest Updated 04/05/2025: On the foundation day of National Labor Congress (INTUC), the problems of laborers were discussed at OLF Community Center in Raipur. Along with increasing the honorarium of Asha, Anganwadi workers, the demand was raised to regularize the employees working on contract basis in various institutions. Along with this, emphasis was laid on restoring the old pension scheme. It was decided that if the government does not accept the demands of the laborers, then INTUC will be forced to agitate.
Discussion on the problems of workers on the foundation day of INTUC
Chief guest INTUC National President Heera Singh Bisht said that laborers were not only workers but also soldiers of freedom, unity of laborers is the strength of the country. He said that before independence, when the movement against the British was going on in the country, it was felt that laborers should also be organized. With this thought, INTUC was established on 3 May 1947, so that the voice of laborers could also be heard. Youth INTUC President Pankaj Chhetri, Virendra Negi, Abhishek Bisht, Sardar Gurudayal Singh, AP Amoli, Anil Sharma from ONGC, Ajay Sharma, Haruk Hasan etc. were present on the occasion.
