Application for Civil Services Exam and IFS Preliminary Exam from 14 January
Latest Updated On 16/05/2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Thursday released the annual examination calendar for various recruitment examinations to be held in 2026. The union public service commission will organize the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary & Indian Forest Service Preliminary Examination on 24 May 2026. Notification for UPSC Civil Services Exam & IFS Pre Exam will be released on 14 January.
With the release of the notification, the application process will began from 14 January 2026. You can apply till 3 February 2026. Civil Services (Mains) Exam will be began from 21st August 2026. The exam will last for five days. Two days have been reserved for the recruitment process examinations & the recruitment tests for UPSC 2026. 10 January and 17 January were kept as reserved dates. Applications for NDA and NA and CDS Exam (I) 2026 will start from 10 December. You can apply till 30 December. The exam will be held on 12 April 2026.

UPSC Geologist and Engineering Services Preliminary Recruitment Examination on 8 February
The Joint Geologist Pre Exam will be organize or conduct on 8 February 2026. The notification for the exam will be released on 3 September & the applications can be made till 23 September. Engineering Services Prelims Exam will also be organize or conduct on 8th Feb 2026. Its notification will be released on 17 September. Applications can be made till 7 October. It has been said in the calendar that changes can also be made in the notification, application date and exam date if required.
