Latest Updated On 12/06/2025: There will be direct recruitment on 2180 posts in the Prohibition Excise and Registration Department. Apart from these, 1245 posts will be filled through promotion under internal arrangements.

The department has sent a requisition to the concerned commissions through the General Administration Department for appointment on 2180 posts with direct recruitment. Among these, the highest number of 1603 posts are of Prohibition Constable.

3526 posts vacant against 6707 sanctioned posts: According to the information, 3526 posts are vacant against 6707 sanctioned posts in the Prohibition Excise and Registration Department. Out of the sanctioned 40 posts of District Sub Registrar, 06 are vacant, while out of the sanctioned 137 posts of Sub Registrar, 17 posts are vacant. Out of the sanctioned 490 posts of upper class clerks in the registration department only 51 are working.
The remaining 439 posts will be filled through promotion. Whereas, out of the sanctioned 900 posts of lower class clerks only 329 are working. Out of 571 vacant posts, 135 will be filled through promotion while 436 will be filled through recruitment. 100% vacant posts of Prohibition ASI and Inspector while 50% vacant posts of Prohibition Sub Inspector are to be filled through promotion.
