Live Updates in hindi: cbse class 10 board exam twice a year from the next year
Latest Updated On 26/06/2025: CBSE Class 10 students will be able to appear for board exams twice in an academic session from the year 2026. The first phase of the exam to be held in February will be compulsory. The second phase of the exam will be optional. CBSE approved this on Wednesday.
Officials said that the 2nd phase of the examination to be conduct in May will be optional for those students who want to improve their performance. CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said that the results of both the phases will be declared in April & June respectively.

Students will get an opportunity to improve their performance in any 3 subjects out of science, mathematics, social science and languages. Internal assessment will be done only once during the academic session. The system of board examinations has been changed under the National Education Policy 2020.
First phase of exam possible from 17 February
CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said that the first phase will be conducted in February and the second in May. In the draft prepared by CBSE in February, it was said that the first phase of 10th board exam can be conducted between 17 February and 6 March and the second phase exams can be conducted between 5 and 20 May. The syllabus will be same in both the phase exams and will include the complete syllabus.
