Latest Updated On 05/06/2025: Bihar School Examination Board (Bihar Board) has released the first merit list for admission in class 11th in the state's plus two level educational institutions on Wednesday. In the first cycle, 13 lakh 9 thousand 874 students had applied for admission in Inter.

These included 6 lakh 59 thousand 342 boys and 6 lakh 50 thousand 532 girls. The merit list has been released by the committee on the portal of Online Facilitation System for Students (OFSS) https://ofssbihar.net. Along with this, the process of admission in schools has also started. Intimation letter will be given for admission. Students will have to upload the intimation letter with the help of their user-ID password. After this, the admission will be completed in the allotted institutions till 28 June. At the same time, the principal can update the seat till 29 June.

Slide up option only after admission in the first selection list: Admission will have to be taken in the allotted educational institution on the basis of the first selection list. If an applicant does not take admission in the allotted institute, his name will be removed from OFSS in the current session 2025-27. His application will also be cancelled. If a student is not satisfied with the allotted institute and wants admission in another faculty and institute, then such an applicant will have to take admission in the first allotted institute. When the second and third selection lists are released, students can take admission in the institute of higher priority. The option of slide up will also have to be given to the students till 28 June.
Principal will be present during the time of the admission
Principals and in-charge principals of inter level educational institutions have to be present in the school for the admission in 11th on behalf of Bihar Board. The board has written a letter to all the DEOs & Principals in this regard. It has been said that the details of enrolled students every day should be updated on the website the next day. During this period, it is mandatory for all the employees including the principal to be present in the school.
Admission in 11th from where 10th passed
Recently, in the instructions issued by the Education Department, it was said that students who have passed 10th from the institute where studies are conducted till 12th, should be given an opportunity to enroll in 11th in the same institute. If the students who have passed from such institutes have given the option of their school in the options for 12th studies, then in such a case, those students have been given priority for the admission in the original college or institute.
