Live Updates in hindi: 146 more contract workers dismissed by the revenue department of bihar
Latest Updated On 27/08/2025: The Revenue and Land Reforms Department has dismissed or disband 146 more contract workers from the service on Tuesday for the 2nd day on the charges of instigating strike & obstructing govt work. These include 97 special survey Amins, 24 special survey Kanungos & 25 special survey clerks.
Action has been taken against all the contract workers on the basis of reports received from their posted districts. On Monday, 110 contract workers were dismissed. On the other hand, nine hundred employees have returned from the strike.

Action taken for obstructing departmental work
The order of Directorate of Land Records and Measurement states that the dismissed Special Survey Amin, Special Survey Kanungo and Special Survey Clerk went on strike over unreasonable demands and obstructed departmental work. The department admitted that going on strike as soon as the Revenue Maha Abhiyan started is indiscipline and disobeying government orders. The process of taking action against all others absent from work is also going on at the department level.
