Latest Updated On 29/09/2025: There's good news for inter-graduate students in the state. The Bihar State Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) will soon fill 23,175 positions. The commission has released a revised advertisement for the second Inter-Level Combined Competitive Examination.
Online applications for these positions will open from October 15th to November 26th. However, those who applied for these positions in 2023 do not need to reapply. They will be considered eligible for all positions.
In addition to the 12,199 positions advertised in 2023, the new advertisement also includes 10,976 vacancies subsequently received from 65 different departments/offices. This has increased the total number of vacancies to 23,175. Under the 35% horizontal reservation, 7,394 of these positions will be reserved for women. Women claiming reservations will be required to provide a certificate in their father's name.

Contract employees will be given preference in regular appointments as per rules. All candidates will be required to pay an examination fee of ₹100. The minimum age for applications is 18 years.
Maximum Vacancies in Panchayati Raj: The Panchayati Raj Department will have the largest number of appointments. Appointments will be made in the Road Construction Department, the Prohibition Department, the Home Department, the Planning and Labor Resources Department, and the Transport Department, among other departments, as well as in the district headquarters of various districts. There are two types of posts in the Panchayati Raj Department. 3,532 of these are for Panchayat Secretaries. 8,298 lower division clerk positions will be filled. The Urban Development and Housing Department has 2,039 positions.
Certificates of typing and computer knowledge will be required for several positions: This recruitment process requires a large number of positions for which a typing or computer knowledge qualification is required, along with an intermediate degree. A certificate and mark sheet related to typing or computer knowledge will be required at the time of application. According to the State Staff Selection Commission, only one application per candidate will be accepted. Multiple applications will be rejected.
