Approval for creation of 1800 posts in 40 residential schools, various categories of prosecution service cadre, 760 posts of subordinate cadre created
Latest Updated On 03/09/2025: A total of 3233 new posts will be created in various government departments of Bihar. On Tuesday, the State Council of Ministers, chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, gave the green signal to this proposal. 48 proposals were approved in the meeting.
Additional Chief Secretary of Cabinet Department Arvind Kumar Chaudhary said that under the Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department, approval has been given to create a total of 1800 new educational & non-educational posts up to Plus Two in the newly approved 40 residential schools. These include Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Ten Plus Two Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Residential School, which will have 40 educational posts such as headmasters, 760 school teachers for class 11 and 12, 360 school teachers for sixth to 10th, 280 teachers from first to fifth and 360 non-educational posts.
- A total of 237 new posts will be created in govt engineering colleges
Approval was given to create 760 posts of various categories and subordinate cadres of the Prosecution Service Cadre under the Home Department. Approval has been given to create a total of 237 new posts in 38 government engineering colleges run under the Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education, and 177 posts in Government Polytechnic and Government Women's Polytechnic. Approval has been given to create a total of 25 new posts by forming two new branches namely Cultural Program and Accounts and Budget Branch under the Department of Art, Culture and Youth.
On the other hand, on the instructions of the Supreme Court, a total of 15 posts have been created in the Suvas Cell to translate all the reportable decisions of Supreme Court originating from Bihar into the official language. 97 different posts have been approved in the District Sainik Offices. 34 posts of the ministerial category have been created in the Law Department. Similarly, 88 posts will also be created for the Prohibition and State Narcotics Control Bureau.
Increase in honorarium of housing assistant, supervisor
The proposal to increase the basic honorarium of rural housing assistant and block accountant and accounting assistant by 25 percent, basic honorarium of rural housing supervisor by 20 percent, basic honorarium of state program officer by 10% has also been approved by the cabinet. Rural housing assistant will get Rs 19675, block accountant will get Rs 25229, housing supervisor will get Rs 30502 and state program officer will get Rs 1.16 lakh. Approval was also given to give 30% risk allowance of basic salary to police officers and personnel working in ATS. The proposal to increase the basic honorarium by 30% of all consultants, project managers, accountants, district coordinators etc. working under Swachh Bharat Mission and Lohia Swachhta Abhiyan was approved.

● Even if an All India Service officer is posted in other districts outside Patna, he will be able to get government accommodation in Patna for one year
● The proposed JP Ganga Path (Digha to Didarganj, length of 20.5 kilometers) project on the banks of the Ganga river in Patna has been approved. This includes land acquisition, utility shifting, EMP & R and R works. 3rd revised administrative approval of Rs 4119 crore has been provided for this project
● Under the centrally sponsored PM Yashasvi Yojana, Rs 231.67 crore for scholarship under the Other Backward Classes Post-Entry Scholarship Scheme, Rs 55.50 crore approved for Other Backward Classes Pre-Matric Scholarship
Revenue employees are now state-level posts, Amin will be promoted
The post of revenue employees has now been made state-level. Under this, now they can be transferred to any district of the state. Earlier this post was district-level. Changes have also been made in their qualification and age limit. The qualification of revenue employees will be graduation instead of intermediate and their minimum age limit has been made 21 years instead of 18 years. Amin will be able to get promotion. After Amin, they will be promoted to the post of Grade One and Pradhan Amin.
The state govt has decided to the form Prohibition & State Narcotics Control Bureau on the lines of Narcotics Control Bureau in Bihar. This bureau will take effective action on illegal activities and crimes related to narcotics, narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and alcohol in the state. 88 new posts have been created for its operation. Apart from this, 12 posts will be appointed on contract basis, while 229 posts already created will be transferred to the new bureau.
A high level PSC box cell super structure main bridge and a three lane PSC super structure bridge will be built on the Gandak river from Fatehabad to Chanchalia in Muzaffarpur. Rs 590 crore will be spent on this scheme. Under Bihar State Highway Project-3 (Phase-2), strengthening of State Highway No. 95 (Mansi-Saharsa-Hardi-Choudhara) was also approved. For this, the first revised administrative approval of Rs 765 crore 86 lakh has been provided. The 10 meter wide two lane road from Fungo Halt to NH-107 Simri Bakhtiyarpur will be upgraded and strengthened. Rs 214 crore has been approved for this.
