Live Updates in hindi: 6162 new posts approved, recruitment to be done soon in the different departments of bihar
Latest Updated On 04/10/2025: The creation of 6,162 new posts in 13 different departments of the state government has been approved. The proposal was approved at a meeting of the State Council of Ministers chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday. Appointments to these newly created posts will be made soon.
Following the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary of the Cabinet Department, Arvind Chaudhary, stated that action is underway to create 2,075 additional posts of various categories under the Bihar Fire Service. Furthermore, a decision was taken to create and appoint 2,739 posts in various departments within the Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Department. Approval was also given for the formation of nine new forest divisions within the department.
218 stenographer posts have been approved in the Agriculture Department.
Furthermore, 721 additional posts have been created following the reorganization of various grades of the Bihar Secretariat Service. This includes 232 Assistant Branch Officer posts, 160 Under Secretary posts, 45 Deputy Secretary posts, and 46 Joint Secretary posts.
Paving the way for the construction of Chhapra, Motihari, and Bhagalpur airports
The State Cabinet approved a proposal to conduct pre-feasibility studies for the construction of Motihari, Chhapra, and Bhagalpur airports. The Airports Authority of India will be entrusted with this responsibility. Furthermore, approval was granted for the acquisition of 931 acres of land for the construction of the Bhagalpur greenfield airport, with an amount of ₹472 crore (₹472 crore). Additionally, ₹148 crore (₹148 crore) was approved for the runway extension at Saharsa airport. 12 acres of land will be acquired for the runway extension.
