Latest Updated On 29/10/2025: CID has arrested Santosh Mastana, a Branch Officer (SO) of the Finance Department, in connection with the CGL exam case. He is accused of spreading rumors of a paper leak. On Tuesday, the CID issued a notice to Santosh and summoned him for questioning. Following the interrogation, Santosh was arrested late that evening. Following his arrest, he was produced in court and sent to jail.

According to CID officials, the CGL exam was held on 21-22 September 2024. When rumors of a paper leak began to circulate, the JSSC filed an FIR under the new law. It is alleged that on the night before the exam, Santosh texted answers to a police officer and the wife of an IAS officer posted at the JSSC, informing them that the exam papers had been leaked and that these were his answers.
The CID also recorded Santosh's statement during the investigation of Case No. 1/25 in the paper leak case. Even then Santosh had told that he had given information related to paper leak to the police officer and another woman.
