Latest Updated On 04/11/2025: Jharkhand government has approved the formation of the Jharkhand State Multipurpose Worker Recruitment-Service Conditions Rules, 2025. This will now allow 10th-grade pass candidates to be appointed to Class IV posts.
Pay scales range from 5,200 to 20,200 Rupees with a grade pay of 1,800 Rupees
They will receive a pay scale of 5,200 to 20,200 Rupees and a grade pay of 1,800 Rupees. A total of 13 proposals were approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

- Multipurpose personnel will be appointed at the Secretariat level.
After the cabinet meeting, Principal Secretary Vandana Dadel stated that the duties of a multipurpose worker include opening and closing the office, general cleanliness and maintenance, delivering files and documents, surveillance work, external work and messenger duties, photocopying, bank and post office work, driving license holders, and maintaining parks, lawns, and potted plants. It should be noted that following protests against the previous advertisement, the Chief Minister directed the Personnel Department to formulate the rules for the appointment.
Irrigation will be done through Cambo Mega Lift in Mandar and Chanho blocks of Ranchi district. The cabinet has approved irrigation in 4055 hectares in 14 villages of both the blocks. An amount of Rs 236,20,81,000 has been approved for this. This will enable smooth functioning of agriculture and irrigation of Rabi crops. This project will be started on Koel River. A diversion structure in the form of a weir will be constructed on Koel River. Water will be lifted by a motor and transported to the identified area through a pipeline.
