Latest Updated On 14/11/2025: Students will be allowed to fill out application forms for the subjects taught in schools. Examination forms for subjects not taught in schools will not be accepted. This arrangement will be implemented in Jharkhand for the 9th and 11th grades, including Matriculation and Intermediate, starting with the 2026 examinations. This decision was taken at a JAC Board meeting on Thursday. Chaired by JAC Chairman Dr. Natwa Hansda, the meeting clarified that subjects not taught in schools are marked in the application form for examinations. Therefore, examination forms should be filled out for subjects currently taught in schools.
The JAC Board also agreed to implement the NCERT curriculum for classes 9th to 12th. Under the new education policy, the NCERT curriculum will be implemented across the country for classes 9th to 12th. The meeting also agreed to increase examination fees and approved the JAC budget. 34 institutions were granted permanent approval and establishment permits. The honorarium of JAC daily-wage employees was increased by 35%. Agreement was also reached on the MACP for JAC employees.
Uproar over the Finance Officer: Members raised an outcry during the meeting over the Finance Officer's work style and behavior. They questioned his appointment and degree. The matter was resolved after the JAC Chairman intervened.

Diploma in Pre-School Education Approved
The meeting also approved the Diploma in Pre-School Education (DPSE) course developed by JCERT. It will be a two-year full-time academic course. The maximum admission period is three years. Candidates must have at least 50% marks in Intermediate (45% for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, or persons with disabilities) to qualify for admission. The age limit is 30 years, with a five-year relaxation for reserved categories. The annual course fee has been set at ₹30,000 (examination fee ₹1,100 extra).
