Latest Updated On 17/11/2025: The number of PG courses in Bihar's medical colleges and hospitals has increased to 204. This facility has now been reinstated in 22 districts. A new district, Madhepura, has also been added to this list.
Six new seats have also been added. Previously, 21 districts in the state had received approval for PG medical courses. It is worth noting that the state has over 3,000 MBBS seats. According to a health department official, approval for PG courses under the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) program is expected for another 60 seats. A proposal has been submitted.
PG education will be offered in these 22 districts
Patna, West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Muzaffarpur, Saran, Vaishali, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Begusarai, Madhepura, Araria, Purnia, Bhagalpur, Nawada, Nalanda, Gaya, and Rohtas.
