Latest Updated On 11/12/2025: Twelve candidates were arrested from eight districts during the examination for 4,361 driver constable posts in the Bihar Police on Wednesday. According to the Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment), 14 candidates were found to be involved in malpractice. First Information Reports (FIRs) have been filed against 10 of them.

71 percent of the candidates appeared for the examination, which was held at 315 centers across 15 districts. The highest number of arrests, three each, were made in Rohtas and Muzaffarpur. Two candidates were arrested in Gaya, and one each in Aurangabad, Darbhanga, Purnea, and Begusarai. The three people arrested in Muzaffarpur included the original candidate, a fake candidate, and a middleman who facilitated the cheating. In Muzaffarpur, a fake candidate named Santosh was apprehended at the District School center. Following his interrogation, the police raided a hotel and arrested the original candidate, Ranjit Kumar (from Jehanabad), and the middleman, Manish Kumar (from Arwal). Santosh revealed that Manish had taken three lakh rupees from Ranjit to help him pass the exam.
