Latest Updated On 16/12/2025: The entrance exam for admission to the country's 23 IITs is scheduled for May 17th. This year, IIT Roorkee has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the exam. To help students prepare effectively, IIT Roorkee released the JEE Advanced syllabus five months in advance.

IIT Roorkee has released the syllabus for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics on its official website, jeeadv.ac.in. Students can download the syllabus directly from the website or access it through the direct PDF link available on this page. However, before appearing for the JEE Advanced exam, students must qualify in the JEE Main exam. The first phase of the JEE Main exam will be held in January and the second phase in April. The JEE Advanced 2026 exam will be held on May 17th. It will be a computer-based test and will consist of two papers. Paper one will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and paper two from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The list of examination centers and the complete schedule will be made available on the official website soon. The exam will be conducted in both language English & Hindi. This year's syllabus remains the same as in previous years.

The NTA will conduct JEE Main 2026. The first session will be from January 21st to 30th, 2026, and the second session from April 2nd to 9th, 2026. Approximately 2.5 lakh students who qualify in these sessions of JEE Main will get the opportunity to appear for JEE Advanced. Anand Jaiswal, Director of Mentor Eduserv, a JEE Main exam expert, advised students to focus on JEE Main first, and then prepare for the second exam.
