Latest Updated On 01/01/2026: The state government is giving a New Year's gift to the youth by recruiting for 32,679 constable positions. The Police Recruitment and Promotion Board issued a notification on Wednesday for the recruitment of Constable Civil Police (Male/Female), Constable PAC/Armed Police (Male), Constable for PAC Women's Battalion, Constable Mounted Police (Male), Constable Special Security Force (Male), and Prison Guard (Male/Female). The application process has begun, and the last date to apply is 30 January.


Applications will be accepted online. The last date for submitting the application fee is 30 January, and the last date for fee adjustment is 2 February.  Applicants are required to complete their One-Time Registration (OTR) before applying. The written examination is likely to be conducted within two to three months after the completion of the application process. These recruitments are being initiated on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Police Recruitment Board Chairman/DG S.B. Shiradkar stated that 10,469 positions will be filled for Constable Civil Police, with 20 percent of these positions reserved for women.

Recruitment will also be conducted for 15,131 positions of Constable PAC/Armed Police (Male), 1,341 positions of Constable Special Security Force (Male), a total of 2,282 positions in the PAC Women's Battalion (Lucknow, Budaun, and Gorakhpur), 71 positions of Constable Mounted Police (Male), a total of 3,279 positions of Male Prison Guard, and 106 positions of Female Prison Guard. Previously, the Uttar Pradesh Police conducted its largest recruitment drive for 60,244 Constable Civil Police positions, and the training of the selected candidates is currently underway.
