Latest Updated On 26/04/2025: EOU stands for Economic Offenses Unit has arrested the Sanjeev, the mastermind of several question papers leak scandals including the NEET. The Special Operations Team of the EOU raided an apartment near Saguna Mor in Danapur late on Thursday night and nabbed him.
Sanjeev Mukhiya was escaped since the NEET ug paper leak on 5/5/2024
The scandalous Sanjeev was run away since the NEET paper leak which was held on 5 May 2024. The EOU was looking for him in five different scandals including NEET paper leak and irregularities in constable recruitment.

The EOU was constantly engaged in collecting information from all sources regarding the arrest of Sanjeev Mukhiya. On 7 April means this month, the Home Department had announced a reward of 3 lakh rupees for the person providing the clues about Sanjeev Mukhiya. Preparations for attachment & confiscation were also started.
On Friday, EOU ADG Nayyar Hasnain Khan said that information was received about Sanjeev Mukhiya, the mastermind of various paper leak scandals, staying in an apartment in Danapur. After this information, the SSP of Patna was asked to instruct the police station in-charge of Danapur to cooperate in the arrest. Sanjeev Mukhiya is currently wanted in EOU police station case number - 27/ 2024, 16/ 023 & 06/ 2024. Earlier, he has also been an accused in EOU police station case number- 12/12 and 30/13 paper leak related cases.
CBI also questioned
After the arrest of Sanjeev Mukhiya, the CBI team investigating the NEET paper leak case has also started questioning him. Immediately after receiving the details about his arrest, CBI Patna team reached to the EOU office. He was asked to verify all the information received in the paper leak investigation and important facts were investigated. According to the EOU, after the necessary interrogation, he will be produced before the competent court. The EOU has also decided to send a suggestion to reward the police officers & personnel involved in this raid team.
