Latest Updated On 27/04/2025: The process of recruitment to 17092 new posts in the Health Department has started. The advertisement for appointment to these posts has been issued. The recruitment will be completed by Bihar Technical Services Commission & State Health Committee. Recruitment will be done under the National Health Mission through State Health Committee. Whereas, permanent appointment will be done in the Health Department through Technical Services Commission. Mangal Pandey which is Health Minister informed about the began of the recruitment process for 17000 new posts.

He said that in these recruitments, candidates will be selected on the basis of written competitive examination and work experience. Bihar Technical Services Commission has published advertisements for recruitment to 11,389 vacant posts of Nurse Category (Grade A Nurse, GNM). At the same time, advertisements have been published by the State Health Committee for recruitment to 4500 posts of Community Health Officer (CHO), 638 posts of Specialist Doctor and 565 posts of Medical Officer Primary, Health Center under National Health Mission. The Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that the process of bumper recruitment is continuously going on in the Bihar Health Department.
The health department has started the process of filling a large number of vacant posts. Large scale recruitments have given a new direction to employment generation. The youth of the state are excited.
The minister said that many recruitments are underway. Advertisements have been published for 667 posts of general medical officer, 3,623 posts of specialist medical officer, 808 posts of dentist, 2,473 posts of pharmacist, 2,969 posts of lab technician, 1,232 posts of X-ray technician, 1,683 posts of operation theatre assistant, 3,326 posts of dresser and 1,711 posts of assistant professor from BPSC from Technical Service Commission.
All the recruitments are the result of the resolution of CM
The Health Minister said that all these recruitments are the result of the guidance and resolution of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. This will provide a new dimension to the CM's resolution of employment generation for the youth & women of Bihar. He said that apart from the new posts for which advertisements have been published for recruitment in the Health Department, the process of new recruitment is being completed for a total of 35,383 posts including the vacancies released in recent times.
