Latest Updated On 09/04/2025: The property of Ravi Bhushan, the mastermind of the conspiracy to rig the online (computer based) examination for the recruitment of 4500 Community Health Officers (CHO) in the Health Department, and his associates will be confiscated. According to sources, Bihar Police has started preparing for this. Ravi Bhushan and his associates, who have been involved in the conspiracy of examination fraud for about eight years, have earned a lot of black money.
At the same time, the main mastermind Ravi Bhushan, who was arrested late on Monday night in a raid by the Economic Offenses Unit (EOU), gave many information during interrogation. He told that he had conspired to rig the examination along with his two real brothers Awadh Bhushan and Bharat Bhushan. With the help of FIR accused Aditya Kumar, these people managed the examination centers set up for Computer Based Test (CBT) by paying huge amounts to the examination center owners, operators and employees.
According to the press statement issued by the EOU, Ravi Bhushan was arrested along with his another associate Shashi Ranjan alias Happy from Bhagwat Nagar area of Patna. Three mobiles were also recovered from them. The conspiracy to rig the CHO online exam was hatched in a flat in Bhagwat Nagar locality.
EOU's inquiry revealed that Ravi Bhushan and Shashi Ranjan created a proxy server and connected the proxy server to the main server. Candidates who were set up with the proxy server were given a separate line in their computer and their questions were solved online by accessing their computer.
Ravi Bhushan was engaged in managing the exam since 2017
According to the EOU, Ravi Bhushan was working as a manpower supplier at online CBT exam centers since 2017. He started his business in 2017 from Galaxy Online Center in Zakariapur area of Patna Bypass. After that, he started managing online exams. He also set up base in Mumbai and Delhi for the purpose of managing other exams. This company of Ravi Bhushan and his brother Bharat Bhushan received the tender for online exam for recruitment in AIIMS Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh in December 2024, but this exam was postponed after the name of Ravi Bhushan and other accused came up in the CHO exam scam case in Bihar.
40 arrested so far in the scam
- EOU has arrested Shashi Ranjan along with the kingpin Ravi Bhushan
- Arrested from Bhavgat Nagar area of Patna, three mobiles also recovered
- Had also set up bases in Mumbai and Delhi for the purpose of managing the examinations
Bihar State Health Committee had issued notification number-07/2024 regarding the appointment of Community Health Officer. Regarding this, the examination was conducted on 1st and 2nd December 2024 through CBT at 12 online examination centers. But an organized gang rigged the scam in connivance with the operators of the examination centers and the company authorized to conduct the examination, V Sign Tech Private Limited etc. According to the EOU, 40 accused have been arrested in this case so far.
