Live Updates in hindi: students guilty of vandalism and violent clashes in bit sindri dhanbad will have to pay a fine of 10 lakh rupees
Latest Updated On 26/05/2025: More than one and a half dozen students were responsible for the violent clash and vandalism that took place on 12 May at BIT Sindri. The six-member inquiry committee constituted under the leadership of General Warden Prof. RK Verma has identified all these students in its report. The inquiry report has been submitted to the institute administration.

According to sources, the inquiry committee has estimated the loss of property worth about Rs 10 lakh in the vandalism that took place on 12 May. It has recommended compensation for the loss from all the students identified for violent clash and vandalism. The inquiry committee has recommended imposing a maximum fine of Rs 50,000 and a minimum fine of Rs 10,000 on the guilty students to compensate for the loss caused to the institute. The institute administration has sent a letter regarding the fine to the permanent residence of all the guilty students. Obviously, the letter regarding the fine will also inform the parents of the students about the activities of their wards.

On the complaint lodged by hostel superintendent Prashant Kumar Singh in Goshala OP regarding violent clashes and vandalism, the police have so far registered a case of assault and vandalism against four boys.
Goshala OP in-charge Ravi Kumar Singh said that arrests are not being made due to summer vacation.
