Transfer will be done through software, training given to district education officers
Latest Updated On 23/05/2025: The transfer of 1.2 lakh teachers of different categories of government schools of the state will start from 27 May. The education department has set a target of transferring all these teachers and allocating schools to them till 10 June. Efforts have also been intensified into this direction.

Teachers will get the benefit of voluntary transfer from inter-district to inter-block. The teachers who get voluntary transfer will be made to join the new schools after the summer vacation. Training was also given to all the district education officers on Thursday regarding how to transfer teachers.

It is believed that whatever deficiency is left in the software for transfer will be removed and detailed guidelines will be sent to all the district education officers by the education department within two days. The education department had sought applications through software from teachers of TRE 1 and TRE 2 as well as special and other categories from employed, who want voluntary transfer. These also include the teachers seeking transfer from the inter-district to within the district.
Schools will also be allotted to those teachers whose district has been transferred, but school has not been allotted. The complete process of transfer of the teachers will be done through e-Shiksha Kosh portal. Information about the transfer will be given to the teachers on their mobile number.
1.90 lakh teachers had applied in the month of December
It is worth noting that the Education Department Bihar had sought representations from teachers for the transfer in December 2024 on the e-Shiksha Kosh portal. In this, one lakh 90 thousand teachers had sought voluntary transfer. According to the information received, after the transfer of about one lakh 20 thousand teachers in the first phase, the remaining teachers with representation will be transferred in the second phase. 1.62 lakh teachers who applied have sought transfer on the basis of distance from home to school. In this also, more than 70 thousand want to change the block in the district itself.
This is how school allocation will be done
There will be a code for the name and other information of the teachers. This arrangement is being done for confidentiality and cleanliness. Even the District Education Officer will not know where a teacher with which name is being transferred. The DEO will know the teacher's code and subject. For example, if there are 10 vacant posts of teachers in a panchayat and there are 15 applications, then 10 teachers will be allotted schools of the respective panchayat. After that, the remaining teachers will be allotted schools of the nearby panchayat on the basis of the vacancy. The DEO will transfer another teacher only after transferring one teacher from his login.
