Latest Updated On 24/05/2025: Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination will be held on 25th May at 91 centers in Patna. A total of 44 thousand 63 candidates will appear in it. To ensure that the examination is peaceful, clean and free from malpractice, Divisional Commissioner Mayank Warwade and DM Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh held a meeting with the magistrates to be posted at the examination center at Shri Krishna Memorial Bhawan on Friday. Here, five senior IAS officers have been appointed as observers by the Union Public Service Commission to monitor the examination.

The examination will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will start at 09 am and the second shift will start at 2 pm. Candidates have been instructed to reach the center 30 minutes before the scheduled time. From the point of view of security, the examination centers have been divided into 30 zones. 91 static magistrates, 30 zonal magistrates, 18 safe magistrates and police officers have been deployed at the center. The Divisional Commissioner instructed the officers associated with the examination work to inspect the center a day in advance.
DM Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh told the magistrate that the guidelines, work and responsibility prescribed by the Union Public Service Commission regarding the examination will be followed. Strict action will be taken against the negligent officers. The Traffic Superintendent of Police was asked to take appropriate steps regarding the traffic system at the examination centers. On this occasion, representatives deployed by the Union Public Service Commission were also present in the meeting.
There will be a ban on carrying electronic devices
The Divisional Commissioner said that in the light of the instructions of the Union Public Service Commission, carrying mobile phones, IT gadgets, digital watches, smart watches, Bluetooth and any other type of communication device in the examination hall or room is prohibited. Disciplinary action will be taken against the candidate violating this order and he will also be deprived of the examinations conducted by the Commission in future. Apart from this, the Center Superintendent, Assistant Supervisor, Invigilator and other officers, workers associated with the examination will also not be allowed to carry mobile phones or any other type of communication device inside the examination hall or room.
