Latest Updated On 25/08/2025: Preparations are on to appoint 1817 posts of various levels in the Labour Resources Department. A requisition has been sent by the department in this regard. The department has sent a detailed report in this regard to the General Administration Department, in which information about the working and vacant posts has been given. It has also been told that requisitions for recruitment to 1817 posts have been sent on different dates.
The department has sent requisitions to Bihar Public Service Commission, Bihar Technical Service Commission and Bihar Staff Selection Commission. However, more than half of the posts are still vacant in the department. 6010 posts are sanctioned in the department. Out of these, 5263 are direct recruitment and 747 are promotion posts. Out of these, 3029 posts are currently vacant, out of which 2398 are direct recruitment and 631 are promotion posts. The department has sent information about the meeting to be held under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary.

Further decisions are expected to be taken on this in the meeting. The department's report shows that the maximum number of vacant posts is 869 for vocational instructors. Apart from this, there are 317 for lower class clerks, 203 for office attendants, 126 for vice principals, 84 for Bhojanshala assistant artisans, 58 for regional lower class clerks, 46 for pharmacists, etc.
