Latest Updated On 28/11/2025: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the application deadline for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for February 2026. Applications began on Thursday. Candidates can apply online at ctet.nic.in until 18 December at 11:59 pm. The exam will be held on February 8th.

Examination centers will be set up in 16 districts across the state
Examination centers will be set up in 16 districts in Bihar, including Patna. The exam will be conducted in 2 shifts. Paper 2 (Class 6th to 8th) will be held in the morning shift from 9:30 am to 12 noon. Paper 1 (Class 1st to 5th) will be held in the evening shift from 2:30 pm to 5 pm. The exam will last 2 and 1/2 hours.
- The exam will be conducted in two shifts in pen-paper mode.
- Candidates will have to answer 150 questions in two and a half hours.
The board stated that candidates in the General and OBC categories who wish to appear for one paper will have to pay an application fee of ₹1,000. Candidates in the SC/ST and Persons with Disabilities categories will have to pay ₹500. To appear in both the papers, General and OBC category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1200 and SC-ST and differently abled category candidates will have to pay an application fee of 600 Rupees. The application fee will be paid through online mode only. The board said that the date for downloading the admit card will be announced on the CTET website only. Multiple choice questions of 150 marks will be asked
Multiple choice questions will be asked in both Paper 1 and 2. There will be 150 MCQs. Each question will carry one mark. The questions will be in the both languages i.e.; English & Hindi.
