Latest Updated On 23/12/2025: The admission process for vacant seats in B.Ed., M.Ed., and B.P.Ed. programs for the 2025-27 academic session will begin soon. The Directorate of Higher Education has issued necessary instructions in this regard by writing to the registrars of various universities, including BBMKU. More than 580 seats are vacant in colleges under BBMKU Dhanbad. Statewide, there are 2947 vacant seats in B.Ed., 507 in M.Ed., and 199 in B.P.Ed. programs.

The Directorate stated that, excluding those candidates who have already secured admission from the merit list prepared by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, Ranchi, the remaining candidates on the merit list will be considered for admission to the vacant seats in the respective B.Ed., M.Ed., and B.P.Ed. colleges based on their merit ranking.
The universities have been instructed to publish advertisements in Hindi and English newspapers for three consecutive days to inform prospective candidates. Applicants will have seven days to submit their applications to the colleges along with their Common Merit List (CML) rank. Based on this, a merit list will be prepared, and admissions will be finalized within the following week. University representatives will be present during the admission process to ensure transparency. The process will now begin in the colleges after receiving instructions from the state headquarters. However, some teachers are expressing dissatisfaction with the decision to start the application process during a holiday period.
