Latest Updated On 11/01/2026: A meeting of the Academic Council of Patliputra University (PPU) is scheduled for 12 January. Proposals for introducing new courses in several colleges affiliated with the university will be discussed and are likely to be approved.
The proposals from the colleges were received at a meeting of the National Testing Agency (NTA) held on Saturday. It is believed that the introduction of these courses will provide students with better opportunities for employment-oriented and contemporary education. Proposals for new courses have been received from BD College, JD Women's College, Khagaul Women's College, SP College, and colleges in Bihar Sharif and Rajgir. Some proposals are for vocational courses, while others are for traditional undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The final decision on these proposals will be made on Monday. The meeting has been convened under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Upendra Prasad Singh.

Following the Academic Council meeting, a meeting of the university's Syndicate will be held on 15 January. The university's budget for the financial year 2026-27 will be presented at this meeting, and it will be discussed and passed. The Vice-Chancellor stated that there is an agreement to confer an honorary degree on international tennis player and Padma Shri awardee Vijay Amritraj at the convocation ceremony. The final approval for these proposals will be given at the Senate meeting on 20 January 20th.
