Latest Updated On 30/04/2025: 27,375 ASHA workers will be reinstated in the state within the next three months. Out of these, 21,009 ASHA workers of rural areas will be selected by the Gram Sabha, whose implementation will be entrusted to the local Mukhiya. At the same time, local ward councilors will play an important role in the selection of 5,316 ASHA workers in urban areas.

Health Minister Mangal Pandey gave this information on Tuesday after the review meeting of public health facilities in the State Health Committee Auditorium. He said that the process of selection of 1050 ASHA facilitators will also be completed within three months. The Health Minister said that the process of departmental reinstatements is going on continuously under the guidance of CM Nitish Kumar. So far, advertisements have been published for 35,383 posts for various posts. He directed to expedite the process of the recruitment including the community health officers, specialist doctors, medical officers & AYUSH doctors. The minister said that all medical facilities should be provided to the patients coming to all the hospitals of the state in a convenient manner.
The number of beds should be increased in the critical care unit including district and sub-divisional hospitals. Gave instructions to further strengthen the eye health facility in various hospitals of the state. Manoj Kumar Singh which is the Secretary of Health Department, Executive Director Suharsh Bhagat, BMSICL Managing Director Dharmendra Kumar etc. were present during the review meeting.
