Latest Updated On 21/04/2025: The Medical Lab Technologist Association has demanded that one thousand (1000) new posts of lab technicians be created in government hospitals and filled on the basis of year-wise merit.
A delegation of the Medical Lab Technologist Association reached the Health Minister's camp office in Yamuna Colony on Sunday and demanded year-wise appointment. They said that about one thousand new posts need to be created under IPHS in the state. A proposal has also been prepared in this regard on the instructions of the Health Minister, but no action has been taken on it for a long time.

They demanded from the Health Minister to create one thousand new posts in the department and fill them on the basis of year-wise merit like the Nursing Officer Recruitment. They said that since the formation of the state, no rules have been made for the recruitment of unemployed lab technicians. Due to this, trained youth are roaming unemployed.
