Latest Updated On 09/06/2025: The Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment) has cancelled 33,042 out of the 17 lakh applications received for the recruitment of 19,838 constables in Bihar Police. According to the information received from the Board, out of the cancelled applications, 20,940 applications were cancelled by the candidates themselves after registration.

It is believed that due to incorrect information filled during registration, the candidates themselves cancelled their applications and filled another application form. Apart from this, 10,947 applications were registered, but the application form was not submitted finally. 1155 applications were cancelled because irregularities like gender, photo and signature were found in these applications. All the applications of some applicants were also cancelled because they had submitted more than one application. 


It is noteworthy that the Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment) has started the selection process for the recruitment of 19838 constables under advertisement number 1/2025 in March 2025. Under this, applications were taken in March-April 2025. According to the Chairman of Board, Jitendra Kumar, more than 17 lakh (1700000) applications have been received for these posts.


The schedule of the written exam will be released this month


The restoration process will be done in 2 phases. In the first phase, there will be a written exam, the schedule of which is expected to be announced this month. By the written exam, five times the no. of vacancies will be selected category-wise for the next phase of the physical efficiency test. Under this, the merit list will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in three events - running, shot put and high jump. According to sources in the Central Selection Board office, the restoration process is expected to be completed before the Bihar assembly elections.
