Latest Updated On 04/07/2025: The 45th convocation of IIT Dhanbad is going to be held in August. August 1 is the likely date. This time the convocation is being organized five months in advance for the students who pass out of the year 2025 batch.

For the last several years, the convocation was being organized in IIT Dhanbad in the second week of December (around Foundation Day 9 December). In view of the problems of the students, this time the time has been changed and preparations are being made for this event in August. About 2 thousand students will get degrees in the convocation. If sources are to be believed, time is being taken from President Draupadi Murmu as the chief guest in the convocation. Efforts are also being made to take time from the Union Education Minister. It is also possible that if time is not available on August 1, then time can be found on any other day of the month of August. International seminar at IIT from tomorrow: International seminar is being organized in Golden Jubilee Lecture Theatre at IIT ISM Dhanbad from 5 July. The seminar is being organized by the Department of Management Studies and Industrial Engineering on the topic of Digital Technologies for Business Excellence and Sustainable Development and Creating Developed India. This information was given by the Head of Department Dr. Sandeep Mandal, Prof. Rashmi Singh, Prof. Niladri Das, Prof. Isha Saha in a press conference on Thursday through the two-day international seminar. Pre-conference workshop will be organized at Taxmin on Friday. 160 participants will participate in the seminar. Officials from other institutes including Coal India are also participating.
