According to the state government, these vacancies are to be filled through direct recruitment and promotion. There is direct recruitment in the police as Class IV, constable and sub-inspector. At the same time, the vacant posts of constable to jamadar, jamadar to sub-inspector (50 percent promotion) and inspector are filled through promotion. The government will soon send a requisition to the departments for appointment to these vacant posts.
