Zoology exams held in the first shift and second shift of UG semester six were cancelled
Latest Updated On 09/08/2025: Friday, the last day of the examination, was a troublesome day for the students of UG semester six of Dhanbad-Bokaro of BBMKU. In the first shift, out of syllabus questions were asked in the question paper of MN2C (Minor) paper Zoology. Students in PK Rai College and other colleges protested against the out of syllabus questions.

The university cancelled the examination of Zoology subject after investigating the matter. The re-examination has been announced on 13 August in the 1st shift. In the second shift, there was an examination of MN2C (Minor) paper English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Santhali, Khortha, Kurmali, Bengali, Urdu, Philosophy, History, Psychology, Music, Sociology subjects. As soon as the examination started, students of all the subjects appearing for the examination in the second shift raised the issue of out of syllabus questions. On the demand of the students, the university cancelled the examination of all the above subjects to be held in the second shift on Friday. The re-examination date of the examination will be released soon.

Experts say that the question paper for UG semester six students was prepared by the setter on the basis of the syllabus released earlier for the session 22-26. It was also approved in moderation, whereas after the first and second semester of session 22-26, the question paper was to be prepared on the basis of the syllabus released for the session 23-27 from the third semester. The university examination department has taken it seriously. The teachers who did the moderation along with the question paper setter are also under the scanner. Earlier, the exams on 31 July and 2 August were cancelled due to out of syllabus questions and it was announced that the exams would be held again.
Angry students lashed out, messing with future
On Friday, students who came out of the examination hall lashed out at the university management and the examination department. Students said that in the first shift, instead of MN 2 C, the question paper of MN 1 C was given. This is according to the syllabus of semester four. Students say that if such mistakes are made by the university in the final year, then who will look after the problems faced by the students. Saba Parveen said that I am a student of history. In MN 2 C, an out of syllabus question was found in the political science department. Even after complaining, we were not heard. Student leader Rohit Pathak said that students are bearing the brunt of the mistakes of the examination department. The future of the students is being messed with. The university should take the cognizance of this matter.
