Latest Updated On 08/12/2025: The EOU interrogated masterminds Sanjeev Mukhiya and Bablu Sharma on one-day remand in connection with the eight-year-old NEET paper leak case.

During this interrogation, both accused made several important revelations to the EOU regarding the paper leak in Bihar. It is believed that based on the clues obtained during the interrogation, the EOU may soon take major action to arrest other accused. Two separate FIRs were registered in 2017 at the Patrakar Nagar police station. Sanjeev Mukhiya's son, Dr. Shiv Kumar alias Bittu, is also an accused in the case. Dr. Shiv was apprehended by police in a vehicle carrying NEET question papers from another state. However, Sanjeev Mukhiya and Bablu managed to escape.
During the investigation, the police found several other evidence related to the NEET paper leak. The EOU later took over the investigation of both cases registered at the Patrakar Nagar police station. Sanjeev Mukhiya and Bablu Sharma, who were lodged in Beur Jail, were taken on remand for questioning in this case. Although both have already been granted bail in this case, the CBI also took Sanjeev Mukhiya into custody and interrogated him in connection with last year's NEET paper leak case.
